EomyctophumDescription: This fish is from the family Neoscopelidae. The fish is in very good condition with very detailed fins, head and body. It is a rare species from an unusual locality. These are commonly called Lanternfishes (or myctophids, derived from the Greek mykter, "nose" and ophis, "serpent"), and are small, fish found in the deep sea.
